Article Guidelines – in conjunction with The St. Augustine Record, who publishes and distributes the World Golf Village Community Journal.

With over 7,000 distributed monthly, the WGV Community Journal is the most widely distributed neighborhood supplement published by The St. Augustine Record. 

The content for this newspaper is written and edited by neighbors who volunteer their time writing, editing, and managing articles submitted by other neighbors and businesses.

Thank you for your interest in submitting an article, please keep these guidelines in mind when submitting your article:

Submission Date:   The 4^th of the month, for the following month’s issue, e.g., November 5^th to be included in the December monthly issue.

Doc Format:  In Microsoft Word Doc format and as an attachment to your email.  Single space copy.

Font Type:  Time or Arial.  Generic – no scripts or fancy fonts, no color, only black and white.  Bolding is ok.

Font Size for copy header:  14pt, bold, lower case; break to a new line before you start body copy -- Also add your byline,   e.g., By Tom Johnson  (you may also add something describing your expertise relating to the article, if you happen to be doing an article on health and wellness feel free to add your title, Physical Therapist) and within the article feel free to add your business name and number if appropriate, e.g., Decorating article, name of your business.

Font Size for body copy:  12pt, please do not use any bullets or tabs or styles; break to a new line for new paragraph.  If you wish to itemize, just break to a new line

Top of Article:  Include the following:   Photo: yes (or no), and Word Count (select Tools at the top of the toolbar and select Word Count)

Word Count:  Aim for 300-700

Content: Keep in mind that articles submitted for this family paper should be in good taste and of general interest and informative for our audience, our neighbors and visitors to our area.  As noted in the Publication Policy on Page 2 of the WGV CJ, priority will be given to reporting news and activities of the WGV area, community organizations and other news and events that directly affect the WGV area.  Second priority will be given to articles of general interest as space permits.  Due to space limitations, all articles are subject to editing.

Photo with Article:  Please reference the same exact name of the photo wherever you wish inserted (NOT the picture content), e.g., FDC0234560001.jpg and attach photo separately
