This is a fabulously-constructed bag. I needed a shoulder bag that had extra capacity for books on top of a laptop, and the durability of the bag as well as the size of the (medium) compartment is enough to take a half dozen books I need for research along. It would make a great library bag, come to think of it.Here are my quibbles:- the extra chest strap attachment included is difficult to attach correctly -- it's far from intuitive and really needs step by step instructions to explain its use.- the outside handle is not centered on the top of the bag. For the life of me I can't figure out how this is an advantage. You can't carry the bag with the handle normally, without the bag's center of gravity shifting to make the carry awkward.- I'd like at least one of the small inside slot pockets to have an elasticized finish to it; there's one pocket on the inside "end" of the bag that has a semi-elasticized rim at the top, but it's not really the size where it's useful to hold anything in. Ditto the mesh pocket at the other end on the inside.- Which brings me to the biggest thing I miss in this bag: a sturdy water bottle pocket. You could fit a small water bottle (a plastic disposable one, at least) in one of the inside end pockets, but that would sort of defeat the point of having a water bottle pocket *away* from the contents you wish to keep dry. This is enough to knock off a whole star for me. I want a large water bottle pocket on the outside.Would I buy again? The overall construction and design is great - water resistant for sure, good inside and outside pockets, easily adjustable main closures, great padded shoulder strap. So, yeah, sure, it's worth the money. But the water bottle thing has bothered me just a bit more than I thought it would.

I have the TImbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag in 2 other sizes and while the Large size is good for basically everything, it is pretty big and bulky.I got this X-Small for just essentials when I am out doing a site visit.I am able to carry my digital camera, some eye protection, some small hand tools, pens, and a small note pad.It probably can hold a small tablet like an ipad mini or regular ipad, but my surface pro 9 is just a tad too big.Build quality is as always fantastic and will hold up to daily use.The price is a bit high, so it is best to see if you can get these when there is a sale going on.

Gargantuan bag, pretty much a bag of holding. Exceedingly comfortable thanks to the ortholite strap and all the strap adjustment possibilities. They've thought a lot about the practical uses of this bag. Will definitely buy more Timbuk2 stuff.

This is simply the best messenger bag you can purchase. It screams quality and craftsmanship, and has just enough compartments and zippers and different size pockets for all of your storage needs. Looks fantastic, great water assistance, the perfect size for a 13 inch laptop like a Mac MacBook Air or iPad.

Excellent quality and lots of brilliant compartments. Have had before and so pleased I went for it again. Could have a more fun colour choice but no other complaints.
