Update Jan 2023. Took the car to Honda and had them replace the item I purchased, was informed that part was not working. Be aware that this person does not respond nor do they provide working parts. Never ever buy from this place. The unit did not work when I installed it. I waited a while before I installed it which was past the return time posted. I contacted the seller and received no response when asked to return the item.

The part is marketed as a "new" "aftermarket" part. What I got was obvious on first opening the box. The part was dirty with obvious wear marks and dirty grease on the latch mechanism. Obvious that it was used. It was in fact an OEM Honda part - Honda name stamped in the striker plate, also on the plastic parts but it looked like an attempt had been made to grind off the name. Had it been the correct part - even as a used OEM part - I might have tried to install it to see if it actually worked at least. But on exposing the actuator in my CR-V it became apparent that it wasn't even the correct part. The rod that connects to the door handle was clearly not the correct length or shape. It was a Honda right rear actuator but definitely not for my 2008 CR-V. Did I get sent the wrong one by mistake? I'll never know because I won't be trying them again.
