Me and the kids are having a total blast with this set!For CAD $79.99 at time of writing, I think it's about the right kind of price for this. You're getting 4 cars, the track (as per the store page images, including the loop de loops!) and there's also power blocks for either mains power or battery, if you prefer not to plug it in!There's a mains adapter included in the box, as well as a battery pack.The instructions left a lot to be desired, though. There's a QR code in the instruction booklet that takes you to a Chinese video site where you can watch a video that shows how the track goes together. We had to watch it about 3 times to figure out how the loops go together and how the little plastic supports go on. Would have been nicer if the instruction booklet went into a bit more detail over the loops.The packaging is nice, I think you could give it to someone as a gift. It's well packaged and I didn't have too much trouble getting the pieces back into the box afterward for storage.As for the racing, wow this thing is fast! It's great! You DO need to put the guards on the sides of the corners to stop the cars flying off, and you may need to adjust the speed adjusters on the controllers (which I think is a really useful feature if you want to have lesser skilled kids who just want to push the accelerator down all the way and watch it go around, you can just adjust the controller speed down and everyone can play regardless of skill level!).There's a turbo button on the controllers, which you can use just before the car hits the loop but for the rest of the track the turbo is most likely to just fling the car off at the next corner! It's a lot of fun trying to time the turbo for the loops, though.If I was to ask for anything, it would be some kind of piece to swap the tracks over so that the car on the inner track would switch over to the outer etc. - this is the one thing I feel like the set is really missing to its detriment.Overall, though, we're having a lot of fun with this. We spent a lot of time ranking each car for speed and then we're able to sort of balance out races based on skill level vs. speed and lane.It's a good set, the track fits together well enough for this sort of thing and it's a load of fun. I just wonder if you can get more track pieces for it separately .. ?

This track is the perfect size for my 5-year old! The cars are fast and have headlights to race in the dark. It comes with four cars that you can race all at once...or, in our case, set aside two cars as replacements. We are getting some great father-son time with this race track!Pro: Great size, responsive controllers and extra cars, if you'd like.Con: None

I remember having something similar as a kid, and the technology is pretty much unchanged, but its a great little toy. Fairly easy to assemble, instructions aren't great and the plastic isn't the best quality its the soft kind so you might need a bit of strength to slide some of the pieces together, but its not too bad. The most I had trouble with was the supports for the loopty loops.You get 4 little cars to choose from, and they can go FAST. the controllers actually have a little knob to control sensitivity and power. If you gun it right off the bat even on medium settings its very easy to send your car flying. I recommend supervising the kids when they play with this because aside from racing this toy doubles very effectively as a high speed toy car cannon. But because you can actually mess it up and because there are some obstacles on the track it makes it possible to actually races the cars and not just press go and watch them zoom around. There's even an automatic lap counter.Its a good toy, the kids have lots of fun with it and the cat is also very into watching the cars go round and occasionally trying to catch one.
