This installed rather easily. Took longer to take door apart than to install it. only bad thing is the inner door light stayed on. upon checking the item electrically, the part that makes the light go off did not work. had to disable the light. and put a reflector. other than that, it works as it should.

Common VW problem part. Replacement fixed all of my weird electrical issues with alarm, interior lights staying on, door locks wouldn't lock with the remote etc. Seems to be good quality and at a good price compared to VW. Not a fun install though.......

This worked perfectly and is exact match of what you we took out of the vehicle. The vehicle was locking and unlocking by itself so we replaced the lock actuator and this part and everything was solved.

Worked on a 2000 VW Beetle 1.8 Coupe. Bad solder on the original caused lights not to turn on. Fixed the issue
