Easy install, worked well enough, tailgate descended a bit slower than I would have liked. After two months it no longer soft dropped the tailgate at all.

First impressions, it's well made with a great fit and finish. Comes packed well and the strut is in a cushion tube to protect it. Does comes with color instructions, but it's difficult to see what is going on in some pictures. So far the strut has good action, nice and smooth. Time will tell how it last and will update this if anything changes.Good strut, good price, would recommend.

Was very excited to install this on my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. That is, until I started trying to follow the instructions, which were incomplete. They seem to indicate that you may be disassembling part of the tailgate attachment to the truck, but are unclear about this. It talks about pulling some part out a certain distance, but isn't clear how you even get to that part or where it's located on the truck / tailgate. Item arrived in great condition and was well packaged, but without clear step by step instructions, it can't be installed.
