The price is good and the product does the job. Would have liked to had some hooks attached to the long cords.

These foam blocks work well, but they'd greatly benefit from a design improvement that would double their length. If, like me, you have a SUV, you'll have a hard time placing them center on your roof unless you have a step ladder. If you're a short person, you'd have the same problem with a car!Fix this and you'll have an awesome product on your hands.

No cumplió con mis expectativas. Tuve q devolverlo porque no me brindó la seguridad al momento de transportar el kayak. Muy mala la relación precio-calidad

Very Satisfied not what I was looking for but.... It had a different purpose and worked like a charm (didn't need roof rails) was able to transport my kayak with ease.

Perfect for transporting a kayak as cheaply as possible. I used this on an 8000+ mile road trip and only had minimal issues, mostly in the rain.Cons:-In the rain, the foam pieces can slide around on the roof if not tied down literally as tightly as possible. I had to pull off the road a few times to readjust in rain storms.-Another issue in the rain is that the nylon straps get soaking wet and water from the outside travels into the cabin through them.-After a while, the straps put some wear on the gaskets of the car door, causing the tension on the straps to decrease and allowing the straps to vibrate in the wind. It's a very annoying, loud noise, but can be fixed by moving the straps to a different location.-There's no way to truly lock it to your car, so there is some worry about the kayak being stolen, although I had no issues and can't imagine many people would do such a thing.Pros:-There is no cheaper way to transport a kayak.-It's extremely easy and intuitive to set up.-At the end of the day, the product works.

I use this product but find two difficulties with it: Firstly, when you cinch down your kayak, the roof of your car will dent in. Eventually these dents can become permanent. I've read that in order to remedy this, the two foam buffers should be placed more widely apart: One at the extreme front of the roof right above the windshield, and the other at the extreme rear of the roof directly over the rear window. Apparently this places the foam buffers on a support beam that runs width-wise across the car. I believe this method does help.Secondly, if the wind is blowing, even just a little, and you're on your own, the foam buffers will displace or blow off the roof of the car before you can get your kayak on top of them. This can be extremely frustrating. When this happened to me, I threw a towel over the foam buffers to hold them in place. Make sure you cinch down the kayak very well in this scenario because your towel will be traveling on top of the car under your kayak. This works, and I didn't lose my towel. If the wind is really blowing hard, try getting your towel wet first, making it heavier.I only use the two cinching belts provided in the kit and not the two ropes, but I only live a couple blocks from the water. So my time estimates below are based on loading and cinching the kayak without the two extra ropes:It generally takes me 8 - 12 minutes to load the kayak onto my car and cinch it down. It takes about 3-5 minutes to take it down. The two cinching belts provided are awesome, by the way. Very easy to use and work very well.I think this is a good temporary solution, but you should think about getting a universal rack for your car instead. If you don't have the money for a real rack, then this method will work fine.
