This is a great replacement battery. The battery in my 700 series wasn't lasting very long at all so I wanted to get a new one. iRobot charges a ton and figured I'd give this a shot. I needed a screw driver to install it, but it wasn't too complicated. The new battery seems to last about as long as the one I got with my original robot. It's definitely working longer than it was with the old battery that I had used for a couple years.This is a great little upgrade -- it's not too expensive and breathes live into an old device that seemed kind of past its life. I'm glad I got it, I didn't have to buy a new Roomba after all.

I have a Roomba 870 that I had over 6 years. The battery run time was beginning to reduce from before. Even though this model is supposed to go back to base and recharge and continue vacuuming, sometimes it can't get back to base in time if it wondered too far into the house.Based on other reviewers, I installed this unit and let it charge on the base before using. I didn't bother testing without charging it first to see if the base does or does not recognize the new battery. Installation is a breeze on the 800 series. You just need to remove the battery cover with two screws. On some models, you need to remove half a dozen screws and remove the side brush before you can get to the battery compartment. I am very happy with this unit. Now I have a battery which will probably outlast the vacuum itself.Note that when you replace the battery, the Roomba looses it's settings and you need to reset time/date and schedule for auto vacuuming.

Battery fits and the roomba is working but I question the power. It contains 4 18650P batteries just like the original battery but it is rated at 6Ah where the original battery is only 3.3Ah.

This is a high power and current rechargeable battery with long runtime compared to the original. The replacement is not difficult, with plenty of instructional videos available, e.g., on YouTube. Fits well. Good value for money.

While these batteries work out of the box as they were pre-charged, the roombas don't seem to like them when they are on the go. They have issues docking as they aren't detecting it being charged or something. My advice is to replace it and dock the roomba and leave it alone for 6 hours and then try to run it. Hopefully it works after that.Seems to function normally once the roomba accepts it, runtime is enough to do my entire house and fill up before running out of power.
