I put these on my 30 year old Schwinn, and my old Diamond back. In a pinch i used a shifter cable on my Cannondale, but a month later changed it out for a Shimano. No complaints during that month, and I couldn't really tell the difference in shifter feel and performance. A good cable for the spares kit, too.

I had a Old Mountain Bike that I converted to a road bike (wanted a change in riding posture).So, I switched it from Shimano Altus Shifters to SB 473 Shifters. The cables in this package helped me to complete the job. I had to add a couple of cantilever adapters because of the travel between the V. Brakes and the short pull SB473. The cable in this package was EXACTLY the right size. I was a bit worried initially that the cables may not fit, but they did very well fitting through the holes in the travel adapter. No problems there.Overall, the material feels solid. How strong it is, we'll see. It's only been a couple of days. I'll update in a few months.
