I had never seen anything like this before and thought it was a brilliant solution to the pistachio shell mess. It works very well and looks nice for the holidays too. I must not have read carefully enough, but I thought it was ceramic. It is not, but rather a melamine or hard plastic material. Not a big issue, but it may effect how well the color adheres over time. Overall I am pleased.

This is a great gift for someone who loves pistachios. The fun thing is to give it without saying what it is. Someone did it for me, and it took me a good while to figure it out. Hence, I bought one to give to a pistachio-loving friend -- fun watching them trying to imagine what it is for!

I got this bowl set for my husband since he loves to eat shelled peanuts and pistachios. Sure, you could just use two bowls - one for the nuts and one for the shells - but I like that since these stack they don't take up extra room to store and he can just grab the set when he wants to snack. These will work great outside this summer since they are made from melamine and I don't have to worry about them breaking. Now that we've tried it out I plan to order another for when we have guests join us on the deck. My only complaint is that I wish they came in more colors or patterns.

Pistachios are a staple at our house and this dish is perfect for serving them. I also found I can use it for cherries and olives with pits. I can also use the 2 parts separately. The bottom piece is great for scrambling eggs and pouring them into the pan. I am sure I will find more uses. Perfect size, not too big and not too small. I chose red because it matches my kitchen.

This is such a cute invention. Anyone who eats a lot of pistachios knows that you kind of make a mess every time you eat them. I had to get this as soon as I saw it because it is the perfect size for a bag or two of pistachios, and it is so easy to use and just dump out when you’re done eating. It is nice and small, but holds a lot.I think it’s such a great idea that someone took the time to solve a problem with what to do with the shells while you’re eating pistachios so it doesn’t look disgusting. This is amazing because all the shells are hidden underneath. It’s really fun to eat pistachios with this bowl, I completely recommend!I really like what it’s made out of, it feels unbreakable and very durable.It would also make a great gift for a pistachio lover.
