Osprey has always been known for great quality and well designed hiking backpacks. They make some of the best ones out there. This shoulder sling pack is no exception. From design, to comfort, to construction this sling pack is amazing.Pockets:The pictures don't do a great job of showing off the storage. There is a pocket on the sling of the pack that easily holds a phone or small wallet. It's very conveniently placed and easy to access. The small front pockets is plastic lined and very water resistant. The Back "main pocket" has a mesh pocket on the front of the flap with a clip to attach a ket ring to. THe back side of it has a pocket with an elastic top meant for keeping whatever is placed in it pressed against the back of the pack.Size/Construction:This is a small pack. Meant more as a glorified purse or small day pack than it is a true hiking pack. At 5 liters it's fairly limited in what can be stored in it. The zippers are all YKK high quality zippers with a water resistant coating on them. Even when caught in the rain, this pack stays dryer than you would expect.Comfort:Again the comfort is really good. The sling is well padded and can be switched from left to right side. The back has a decent pad to it, plenty sufficient for the light loads the pack will hold.Overall I am super happy with this lightweight sling pack from Osprey. It's highly functional for a day pack with a lot of well thought out options on it. It's well made, and looks great. I plan to get many years of good use out of this pack.

The padding of the strap is thinner and wider compared to other versions. Unable to see online but overall design and color is nice.

I'm a frequent traveler and I wear slings and fanny packs. Over time I've learned what works for me and what can be a real problem. So I'm basing this on my past experience and not comparing to any one particular brand. The best feature of this sling is that it's both Left or Right. Although I'm a Leftie I do certain things Rightie (bat, play golf, tennis) and thus, I switch sides according to what my hands are doing at the moment. Ths sling allows me to do that. It's a bit larger than the slings I usually wear. Generally I purchase slings that can fit an 8" tablet and not anything larger ie, no 10" iPad. However, this sling can probably fit an 11" iPad. I measured it and gave it a generous allowance, and it seems like it would work.In terms of swinging this around in the front to access the pockets, absolutely possible. However, something to remember is that the dual zippers would have to be re-oriented to open from the top (former side) to prevent items from falling out. Easier to do on the larger pocket than the smaller one, which is somewhat narrow and deep. The bag appears well made. I tried to fit my 6.7" Moto 5G stylus in the net pocket on the strap and it just barely squeezed in - looking like it would rip the mesh at some point - so I would not advise putting anything in there that is heavy, bulky, or sharp. One of the best features are the dual zippers. They are very high quality. No YKK markings that I can see, but when researching Osprey the research says YKK is used throughout this Daylite line. Back to dual zippers: they are great in high pickpocket areas - ask me how I know. The paracord zipper pulls make it easy to run a carabiner through them for extra security.I love the idea of waste recycled from the ocean. I wish more manufacturers did this. The colors are bright and cheerful, and it's very functional. It's quite long so it may be a bit of a challenging retrieving your phone or sunglasses, for example, if they have sunk to the bottom of the sling. Then again, that attribute makes it more difficult for things to fall out and get lost. Again, ask me how I know.I was going to give this sling 4* only because of the high price. It has a lot of fabulous features and it's a versatile sling, for sure. But I'd like to see it a wee bit less expensive, considering it's "only" a sling. Then I realized that Osprey has a wonderful lifetime warranty and that redeems the high price.

This Osprey sling pack lives up to the brand's reputation for quality and thoughtful design in a smaller format. As others have noted, it offers good comfort with its padded, switchable strap and durable construction with YKK zippers. The storage is well-considered for its size, snugly fitting a 10" tablet in the main compartment and a phone in the convenient strap pocket. It proved to be an excellent companion for a recent beach trip, easily holding essentials like a phone, power bank, sunscreen, hat, a small water bottle, and a snack. Overall, it's a well-designed and functional lightweight sling ideal for carrying just the necessities.

This is a compact, lightweight shoulder sling. I have another brand that has more capacity, but it doesn't collapse as flat as this Osprey version when empty. I wanted a sling pack I could pack in my carry-on for airline travel to then use as a day pack at my destination. This sling pack fits the bill. It has an outside zipper pocket with loops for carabiners on the outside. It has two pockets in the main compartment, one with a zipper. There's also a zipper pocket on the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap can be attached to either side of the bag to switch shoulders. The zipper pulls are loops that enable slipping in a finger to grip the pull.
