This door has given me more than expected. My dog understood within minutes how the door worked and I’m no longer required to respond to requests to go outside. My dog is independent now. She loves that; I love that. The door was installed within 4 hours. (Stucco required an assist from a friend with a rotary cutoff.) I caution others to be careful about tightening the mounting hardware; I inadvertently distorted the frame and that constricted the movement of the metal door. Once addressed, the door works well.

The flap is spacious enough for larger dogs, and the anti-pinch protection is a fantastic safety touch—no more worries about paws getting caught.Pros:– I love being able to set the door to open and close automatically at certain times. Great for early mornings and bedtime routines.– One tap locks it during storms or when we’re expecting guests/deliveries—super handy.– The three-layer flap system really does a great job keeping drafts and rain out.– No messy wiring, and the battery indicator is helpful for avoiding sudden shutdowns.– Aluminum frame feels premium and durable; the LCD screen is bright and user-friendly.Cons:– You’ll probably need to change the batteries every couple of months, especially with frequent use. Rechargeable option would be nice.– While the LCD is easy to use, it would’ve been amazing to control it via smartphone.– It’s not overly complicated, but it does take time and precision. Definitely a two-person job.All in all, it’s a high-quality, reliable dog door that delivers on convenience and safety. Just be ready for a bit of DIY during installation and keep extra batteries on hand.

Got the door was so excited to use. It was easy to install dogs love it. It does not open on timer! The main reasone we got so would open and close. It will close but not open!.
