To save on the absurd cost of actual trex clips , I got these and here are my thoughts after getting thru on half the deck with these.1. The screws are terrible. I even got a smaller head PH01 philips driver but the screws are so soft that as soon as it meets wood the heads slip and are useless. I replaced them all with trim head #8 1-5/8 deck screws. Unfortunately those are gold in color so they are highly visible. Additional cost of screws $30.2. The plastic clips are soft so if you tighten them a bit too much the plastic breaks and no use.3. The gap is bit more than what i would like to see.So would I recomend these ...Well if you factor in the additional cost of replacement screws they are still chepa than trex ones but I would try some other brand before I order again. Hope this helps some DIYers.

The screws are good quality but are Philips head which can easily strip. I prefer the Torx head on the Trex hidden fasteners.

I couldn’t recommend these clips more to anyone installing a composite deck. They made the install go so much faster than the hidden fasteners, kept our spacing and really allowed us to shave hours off install time. Great product, so glad I found and purchased.
