Very helpful if you have a muffler that's constantly raddling!

This exhuast hanger is just what the doctor ordered. I have an old Astro van that no matter how many times I readjusted and tightened the clamps the exhaust pipe kept creeping up and touched the rear fender. Put one of these babies on and problem solved! I also used it on my Mother's Olds Cierra that I originally tried those perforated metal band straps on. The vibrations from the exhuast would just be conducted through the strap and into the chassis. Plus, those thin perforated straps are thin and would bend and rust easily. This hanger is thicker but not to thick to be able to bend so it fits the angle you need. Also, the hard rubber piece in between the clamp and strap keeps the exhuast vibrations and noise from flowing through the rest of the car. They are a little pricey but well worth it.
