I have been needing one of these for a while. Since I parked my pickup truck last year so I can do a complete restoration of it I've been having difficulty starting my truck which I have never had since 1990. Sure enough when I swap this one in my truck started just like it used to.

This replacement MAP sensor solved a number of engine and transmission shifting problems in my 1995 F-150 truck. The sensor is fast to install, but the placement of some engine parts made access to the mounting screws difficult. Now the engine runs smooth and the hard shifting problem is totally gone.I am going to be watching to see how long this unit lasts. The Ford original lasted 30 years. A "USA Made" replacement lasted 18 months. I will be pleased if this one lasts at least 12 months as the cost is low and ease of installation is great. If it were not for the engine compartment obstructions, this MAP sensor could be replaced in less than 2 minutes.

It sets to the left of the motor, I have changed about all sensors on the motor I was about to remove the one beside the carburetor when the (UPS man showed with the MAP), I had tried to loosen it and was afraid the bolt was going to ring off. So I app to change the MAP instead. Very easy to replace. My 94 F-150, 6 ball would jump after changing gears really bad if on a hill at a stoplight and the car behind be right on the rear bumper. I bought it off e-bay and drove from N C to TN after it. It was running rough on the way home and the check engine light on. There is no port to hook a computer too. Well it was the next day before I used the truck. I backed out of the drive and put it in first it pulled off like silk every gear the same it was as if I just bought a brand new truck, and best of all the check engine light was off. I think I has just justified all the money I spent for and on the old truck.

my 93 5.0 goes from fast idle to normal idle like it's suppose too.. thanks

Was the right part I need with any problems worked great and fix my problem. Was a great price to top it off with quick delivery.
