This product is amazing! I purchased this because I was in dire need of an affordable yet high quality solder for my basic electronic hobby projects. The flux/rosin core is amazing, despite it leaving sticky residue and a film over the joints. The solder is of equal diameter, and with a good texture. It is not too floppy, nor stiff, and I really like how easy it is to use! It comes completely like as described! I have used this for many THROUGH HOLE components because although it may work, it is not suitable for small SMD component only because of the 0.8mm diameter.And although there are some noticeable differences between production-grade solder and this solder, I think it’s great for all hobbyists with a wide range of melting temperatures.

I'm very much a begginer and only have a cheap iron to work with, but the solder seems to do a very serviceable job, far easier to get good joins than with the lead free sample that came with the iron. Flows well into the joins.The use of tip tinner made a big improvement too.

I bought this on January 3. At that time, the reviews here were very good. I did not try to use this until February 10 (7 days after my Amazon return window for the product closed). I can only guess that the formulation of this product (or the product itself) changed. This is a terrible solder. It really doesn't melt easily or flow well. I tried using hotter temperatures but that doesn't work either. It seems that the flux (if there is any) burns off as fast as the solder melts, leaving a goopy hot blob that's unusable.

Ce fil à souder ne coule pas bien, je ne le recommande pas. Évitez d'acheter.
