I purchased this Cabin Air Filter & Access Door Kit to upgrade my 2013 Ram 1500, as it didn't come with a factory-installed cabin air filter.Installation Experience:The installation process is straightforward but requires patience and attention to detail. One crucial tip is to cut on the inside of the bevel, not the outside, to ensure a proper fit for the access door. Additionally, when removing the cut pieces, take your time and pull them out carefully to prevent them from falling into the blower motor, which could cause issues down the line.Performance:Once installed, the cabin air filter significantly improves the air quality inside the vehicle, effectively filtering out dust, pollen, and other particulates. Inexpensive solution for something that should have been installed as standard on my 2014 Ram 1500...I don't know, maybe you needed to buy the Big Horn to get filtered cabin air.The kit worked great for me. No complaints at all.Follow the instructions from one of the vids on the U-tube, a little bit of careful cutting (I used an oscillating multi-tool, that worked great), easy-peasy. So easy even an auto plant worker (north or south of the border) should have been able to do it.

The cabin air filter and cover fit perfect on my 2012 Ram 1500. The plastic tabs on the cover do feel a little flimsy but for how cheap this kit costs It’s not an issue and should last a while.

Since I couldn't compare this kit side by side to the dealer-installed kit, I can say that you will need to bend and manipulate the filter to get it into the slot and for the door to fit over the top of it. And the lid needs a lot of force to stay on although it never really 'clicks' into place like it should; this filter might be a tad too wide and too long causing these issues vs. the actual Mopar version. Interestingly, the filter did have the Mopar part # printed on it but not the arrow showing which direction the air is to flow through which also means I don't know if I installed it facing the correct way or if it even matters with this particular filter element. Hope the door doesn't pop off. Will need to check it in a month or 2. Air coming out of vents is now a bit restricted (need to turn up the fan an extra notch or 2) but that makes sense vs. when there was no filter.

Bought for my 2014 RAM 2500. Received quickly and fit perfectly in my truck. Looks durable and high quality, plus decent price too.
