This type of filter has been used on General Motors SUVs and light trucks for many years, on LS series engines. It is a very robust design which effectively traps particles within pleated and flat paper sheets. I used this to replace the air filter on my 2003 Hummer H2. Note, this isn’t exactly the same as the CA9900 filter which originally came with my H2. This one is about 3/4” shorter than the CA9900. But the mounting lip fits precisely into the receptacle on the car’s air box. The filtering performance is exactly the same, as each filter’s cross-sectional area is identical. The only functional difference is this one may need to be replaced a little more often. That isn’t a big deal, because these filters are really designed for off-road use, while I only use my H2 on paved roads.The workmanship and materials on this filter are top-notch. Overall, this is an excellent replacement filter at a reasonable price.

This works great and is half the price of a dealer part. There both made in China 🇨🇳 😄
