The best polish I've used. Try its worth the higher cost for higher quality

I've used Britsh "standard" shoe polishes all my life, and with the demise of my favourite Kiwi Dark Tan (not going to be sold in the UK any more) I was forced to buy something else. I thought I'd try this as a compromise between the usual Brit tin and the classy classic Saphir types which seem to be inordinately expensive. When the tin arrived the contents were a bit dry and hard, but I used it just the same. The result was quite stunning - not in the high shine but in the everyday wearing of the shoes. The shine lasted and lasted, and it shed the rain - I even walked through puddles and then shook my feet and all the water came off my shoes! None of the polishes I've used before shed water like Angelus - one trip in the rain with those and the polish is basically gone.Next, I decided to rejuvinate the polish a bit by adding some real turpentine and melting the polish on a hot plate. When cool the polish was much the same as before: relatively hard. Polishing shoes with Angelus polish means a harder dab in the tin to get polish on the brush, and more time rubbing it into the leather. Boy, is it worth it! You get a really good shine, and it lasts a long time, and sheds water lastingly. The dark brown colour is not quite the same as my much-loved Kiwi Dark Tan, it's a bit less reddish. It is a good shade of brown however, and I'm happy with the change. Being hard, this shoe polish should also last longer than the others.
