Ordered these for my 4yr old daughter. She is usually a size 4-5T, I ordered her a size 4 and they are a tad bit long and a tad bit loose. They will work since I'm tucking the bottoms into her boots and then safety pinning the waist. She will grow into them which is great! A really great pair of pants!

If your child is a beanpole with small feet and ankles these may work for you. I used the size chart and these would no go over my 10 yr Olds feet. I could tell when I opened the bag though. M might fit an average 6 or 8 yr old. The photo black pair is a size 14 and the pink(this product) in M is much smaller. They are pretty and soft but the sizing chart is way off and I measured!

We just received these today. As for fit, my daughter weighs 89 lbs and is 4'9" and normally wears a 10/12 these days. The large was a little baggy at the top in front, but not bad, a medium would've definitely been too small for her. My daughter said she really likes them and they are comfortable once they are on. She struggled a little bit getting them over her foot and pulling them up as they are pretty snug at the bottom.
