I purchased this for my house back in 2022 and the hose connecting the wand to the motorized head got brittle over time and cracked. This speaks to its durability overtime. I spent over an hour looking for replacement parts and I could not find a single one. They don’t even offer a replacement part on their online store. While it worked, it did well for pet hair and other small object. It was fairly light weight and the balance while in use was great but there was not locking mechanism to allow the machine to stand on its own so its top heavy design always had this thing falling over. Super annoying. It did make for easy cleaning and its slim profile allows you to get in tight spots. Swivel head works well so it’s very maneuverable. While it picks up hair efficiently, the wheels get clogged. The wand can also clog with heavy shedders.Over all, I would not buy this again for two reasons, the top heavy design without being able to lock it up right and the inability to replace articulating plastic hoses. That’s a critical flaw that should be addressed by the company.

I am a Bissell FAN, and I wanted a simple vacuum for the ceramic floors and area rugs, had a Crosswave Pet for several years but didn’t like having to take it apart each time to clean, so when it finally stopped working I settled for this dry stick vacuum and a spin mop. That being said, WHY would you make a vacuum THAT DOES NOT STAND UP, I mean there’s no way to have it stand, you have to lay the vacuum down or prop it on something when you have to stop to move a chair or something then resume vacuuming which is stupid. The vacuum comes with a wall hanger and it hangs flat against the wall, which is fine. It operates great, good suction, easy to empty, lightweight easy to maneuver, I opted for the corded version which has a long cord, the tools are useful for crevices, my only complaint is it’s made not to stand upright. Overall it’s a good stick vacuum for the money for sure, hopefully they’ll figure out how to add a compression mechanism so that the vacuum can stand and be stored upright when not in use.

I bought this to replace my old stick vacuum that was strictly for hard floors and my canister vacuum that has something wrong with it and is so loud I get a migraine every time I use it. My old stick vacuum was held together with duct tape and decided it was time. I love this vacuum. It picks up great on both hard floors and carpets. I have 4 cats and it picks up the hair great. Our house is all hard floors except the bedrooms and an area rug in the family room. I love the long power cord on this. I can do the sunroom, kitchen, family room and both hallways without unplugging. I would have to move the plug 6 times with my old stick vacuum. Other than the bedrooms, the only area I can't reach is the laundry room , which is where the litter boxes are, and I just keep the old stick vacuum there to clean up the litter and not get any of that in my new vacuum. The 2 main complaints I read in the reviews are 1, the top heaviness. And it is top heavy. The first time I used it I thought, I'm not sure I like this, and thought I might send it back. But after using it, I got used to it and all the other things I like about it over rode that. If you have strength or mobility issues, this is probably not for you. I tell myself I'm getting a good workout when I use it 😁. The second complaint was that it will not stand up on its own. This doesn't bother me at all because my last stick vacuum, that I've had for probably 8 years, wouldn't either, so I'm used to it. I just lay it down on the floor when I need 2 hands. Not a deal breaker for me. I find I'm vacuuming more because I don't dread it like I used to. Oh, and it's quiet. Compared to my stick vacuum and my super loud cannister vacuum, it's low volume. So much so, that my cats, who would run at the sight of me just bringing out either of the 2 other vacs, will stay in place while I'm vacuuming until I get too close to them.Emptying the container is easy and getting it back is easy once you learn the trick, need to press the release button while putting it back. The canister is on the small side so needs to be emptied often, but now that I vacuum more, not as much as I did in the beginning. And it is a stick vacuum, you can't expect it to be as large as a regular vacuum. So overall I love this vacuum.

Seriously, this machine is awful. I, like many others, dismissed the low ratings when deciding to purchase this vacuum because every great product may have a couple that fail and because there were so many great reviews that the low reviews seemed like anomalies. For example, I didn't understand why people complained that a stick vacuum was top-heavy. Of course it's top-heavy. But I found out it's top-heaviness when combined with handle placement makes it completely unmanageable for quick clean-ups. More on that in a moment.I feel I should say that this machine has a couple good things going on for it. It has good suction for both floors and carpets and picks up fur well. Now for the drawbacks:--The wheels squeal like nothing I've encountered before and there is no way to make it stop.--The machine is top heavy and requires a mount to store. Because this has a cord, you have to plug it in, but in doing this you can't reflexively lean the machine against the wall because the handle at the top makes it impossible to create a stable lean, even for a couple of seconds. As you are using it, the machine cannot even be leaned against, say, the couch as you pick up a cat toy as you vacuum. The utter lack of stability means you cannot use this for quick jobs where you just want to get the room presentable in a couple of minutes because you will have to preplan every maneuver.--Little ergonomic things one never thinks of are completely missing with this machine. Here's an example: The machine has top and lower cord brackets and the top can be turned at a 90 degree angle so you can slide the cord off. Sometimes the cord gets tangled when this happens - no big deal - but since this machine cannot be leaned against any wall or furniture with stability, if you have the plug in one hand and the stick in the other, your first impulse is to reach down with the hand you are using to hold the stick to free the cord because your other hand is already holding the plug. In so doing the machine will fall on you or the floor. This seems piddly, doesn't it, but it matters. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent in ergonomic and usability studies to see how people use appliances and tools. The tank's heaviness combined with the handle-placement cause a cascade of smaller usage issues that I never once considered when buying a stick vacuum because so much of what we do - get the vacuum from the closet, kneel down to plug it in with one hand while freeing the cord with the other hand - are all part of a sort of muscle memory we acquire over our lifetime of using tools. This stick vacuum's design does not take any of that into account and you will spend a lot of time readjusting how you use a tool you've used your entire life because of poor design.--The mount is a joke. The attachment slot does not in any way fit into the groove on the back of the machine. Get used to it falling off its mount and terrifying your pets.--The tank is so awful. Getting it off the stick is a chore in itself but given that this is a machine marketed toward homes with pets, surely someone noticed that wads of cat or dog fur don't easily conform to the small sliding hole that so many people raved was so great to use. One pass in the living room and I have to pull the filter out of the tank to dump out all of the fur. This is time-consuming and messy.--The attachments are so hard to switch out. Like I had to sit on the floor and pull, with my husband holding onto the stick, to get the furniture attachment off. I am unsure if there was some sort of glitch wherein the attachments are off by a few millimeters in size, but they require a lot of effort and time to switch out.--Did I mention the wheels squealing? Did I mention that no amount of adjustment or oil or prayers to a benevolent god can make them stop squealing? This really is a terrible product. I've used Bissell machines for decades, especially the carpet shampooers. They last a good while and have always been solid machines that were very much worth every penny I paid for them. This is a terrible product from an otherwise great company and I highly recommend that you spend your money on a different stick vacuum.

It’s been about a month so here is my review. I searched and searched for a corded stick vacuum on Amazon and other websites. I came across a Shark corded stick and was really tempted to buy it. But at the last minute this one appeared. Sure, it was close to Black Friday and the Shark stick vacuum was $40.00 cheaper. But I said I would try this Bissell and because a tiny profit benefits needy animals. I wanted a stick because I wanted a vacuum I could use right out of the box, no charging necessary. The Bissell is built well. My husband says not to treat the vacuum so roughly. Honestly I so sometimes. The cord is extra long and I don’t have to plug and unplug when going from room to room. It is light and maneuverable, it doesn’t stand on it’s own, it transitions well from carpet to wooden floor. And the suction is GREAT! We have two adult dogs that live indoors and shed hair that sticks to carpet like needles in a haystack! This Bissell gobbles it all up. Yes, you need to go over the same spot a few times, so what. The dirt cup is adequate. On a dirty day I empty about two times. Yes, it took this old lady a few times to open the dirt cup take it apart to empty. If all else fails READ the DIRECTIONS. LOL. I clean the sponge and filter inside the cup on a need to do basis. I use hot water and no soap. It always amazes me how much dirt and gunk the tiny sponge filter holds. I have rinsed with only hot water the cup and other components inside the cup. No problem. I so far have not had hair stick to the roller. Maybe just a tiny bit. Yes, it does make some squeaky noise from the plastic wheels but I don’t care about that. I also bought the extended warranty. It’s only a few dollars and I believe worth it. All in all I am satisfied with this purchase.
