I have an old Dyson V7 Animal Extra. It has a strange pattern of head unit brush making it hard to get a replacement. So, when I saw this, I had to try it out. My first impressions are, it’s fantastic. I quickly installed it and hit the high traffic areas of my house. The main floor of my home is all LVP with large area rugs and in the past, I’ve had to cut the hair off the brush around every third time I used it. When I was finished vacuuming, I inspected this head unit brush, and there was absolutely no hair wound up around it. The hair removal vanes did their job and I was amazed. Honestly, this brings new life into my old Dyson V7 Animal Extra.I did test it on the area rugs I have. Some are plush and some are washable. I always have issues vacuuming the washable rug, and this did just as good as if not better than the original Dyson vacuum head.One issue I had was it’s harder to extend the head and rest it on something. I do this if I’m moving something, I’ll sit the brush in the downward position and sit the vacuum down on the front of the head preventing it from rolling away. OEM head unit isn’t as floppy so the vacuum would stay put. This head unit just flp[s down and the vacuum tips over. I’ll bee to figure something else out but it’s not the end of the world.Pros:- Hair vanes worked to reduce hair buildup.- Did a fantastic job loosening debris and sucking.Cons:- Won’t stand resting against something as easy as OEM- Head unit is just slightly bigger, but this didn’t impact my ability to maneuver it in any place the original would not go.Would I recommend this item to a friend? Absolutely. Some of the modern Dyson vacuums have a feature to reduce hair tangles. For the older vacuums, this is a game changer.

I bought this to replace my Dyson V7 vacuum head and it fits nicely. It is just like the original Dyson head and I put it on right out of box. I couldn't tell much of difference between this and the original head when vacuuming the hardwood floors and carpets. I would say this is good replacement.

I like this replacement head very much. The suction force is very strong. The sealing ring is very easy to absorb and the area is very large.

I own a Dyson v10 and the head fits perfectly to the tube and functions as expected. It picks up the dust from carpet and hardwood floor as well as the original head. The only downside is that it's noisier than the original head and has some cranking noise, which is not present when the original head rotates.

I had one that was broken. This newly bought one feels very easy to use, disassembles very conveniently, and has excellent dust-suction performance. It's worth buying.
