My 13yo son has been wanting to go fishing at a small pond near our house for a little while now. Riding a bike with a pole sticking out can be done, but it is a bit of a hassle, so I'd been on the lookout for a decent travel kit, and this one looked like it would fit the bill. As it turns out, it has indeed been a good starter kit, and the fact that it came with two poles made it a pretty good value. As you'd expect, none of the components are going to be very high end, but they're perfectly functional, you just need to be careful with the rods themselves.Pros:+ Very complete set with pretty much everything you need to head down to a body of water and fish.+ The included tackle kit is a decent start, though you'll be updating it in short order.+ The spinners are smooth and consistent without binding.+ Included pliers work well, and make dealing with split rings easy.Cons:- While they are nice and lightweight, the telescoping poles themselves are fairly mediocre, and while they work and haven't broken, I do feel their longevity is suspect. That being said, for the price you're getting two of them, so…Overall, this has worked out pretty well as a starter fishing kit for my son. I've used one of the rods each time I've gone with him, and it has performed well for small lakes and ponds. While the quality overall is so-so, given the price I think that it is acceptable for a minimal use product, just don't buy this as your primary kit and you'll be fine. It would also make a great behind the seat addition to leave in any truck or car.

This little fishing kit is so cool. I really like it for myself or if you had someone who liked to fish this would be a cool starter gift for a young person. This came all in a carryable zippered bag 2 poles with 2 bucket reels already with the fishing line on them already which is such a huge timesaver. This awesome kit even comes with worms and tackle to use. I am ready to go fishing now for sure as soon as it warms up a bit more. I am very happy with this adorable little fishing set that would be perfect for beginners.

These LOEIBMIRY telescopic fishing combos are loaded , you get two rods , and reels, a tackle kit with everything you need to get out the house for a day of fishing.You get lures hard shallow running baits , soft plastics , curly tail grubs, paddle tail fish , 1/8 oz jig heads, swivel connectors, pliers everything you need.The rods telescope to 6'9" the fishing reels come pre spooled with what feels and looks like 12 lb test monofilament fishing line.Everything comes in the nice zippered case capable of holding more (larger) gear.The reels have a fast 5.5-1 gear ratio they are small 3000 series reels , the drag is mediocre , the description says suitable for fresh and salt water , the rods are heavy enough for saltwater but I would not trust the reels to the salt due to possible catches of fish to large for the reels to handle.I do trust the rods for saltwater though, as they are carbon fiber which is stronger than graphite and fiberglass.Irregardless of the reels shortcomings I still have to give this fishing combo 5 stars because you are getting a great deal for the price.
