What I mean by not really uniform is the bottom is a little smaller in diameter than the top (slightly tapered almost unnoticeable). You can't really notice it in the pictures. But when the pans arrive and you notice that the pans stack inside each other you notice the very slight tapering of the pans. If the pans had true straight sides the pan would not be able to stack inside each other. Stacking inside each other makes for good storage but the cakes might not bake the same diameter (round) on the bottom and top. The top of the cake will be a little larger diameter than the bottom of the cake (someone else may not even notice the difference). If you want to make stack cakes (2 or 3 tier) these may not work depending on how your cake rises ( if your cake rises like a mushroom at the top). Now the tapering is VERY slight but I did notice it were someone else may not notice.

I didn’t like how small they are but I’m keeping them . They will be be great for grand kids to make themselves little individual cakes
