Wow the directions, just ignore them and make mistakes and figure it out.It works -mostly- the springs are also dumb and fall out but are also not tight enough to work. But you can just lift without the spring assist. I'll live without but just barely.75% worth it but for $200 and an hour and a half of my time to assemble I wish it, ya know, functioned as advertised.Also advertised for 18 x 24 paper but it touches the rack above it

Once assembled, this is a great drying rack for print work but the instructions are terrible. It is beyond me how a company can produce an otherwise good product yet create the worst possible instructions to assemble that product. The product is 5-star but the assembly instructions are 2-star at best.

You will be disappointed as the other reviews mentioned. Directions don't match part changes. Once all was figured out- poor design! Nothing to keep work from falling out the back. The 7 bottom shelves won't stay "up" by themselves to receive artwork. Kids will forget to lift them to start loading at bottom. Top shleves fly up sometimes. Amazon used to carry a rack very similar that addressed all issues, I used for many years. I would try art supply store on line.

Some challenges with assembly but a trick is to sit or press the top rack down firmly to keep it from flying up. You will have no issues then.
