CURT custom wiring uses vehicle-specific plugs to plug into the vehicle's electrical system and provide a standard wiring output, usually in the form of a 4-way or 5-way flat.

Installation of CURT custom wiring
Two types of wiring
CURT offers two types of custom wiring: custom wiring harnesses and custom wiring connectors. Both are made for specific vehicles, and both require zero cutting or splicing.
Custom wiring harnesses
A custom wiring harness (also known as a ‘T-connector’) is designed to ‘T’ into your vehicle’s taillight assembly. This simply requires access to the taillight wiring.
Custom wiring connectors
A custom wiring connector uses a single plug to plug into a designated OEM socket on the vehicle. Not all vehicles are equipped with this socket, but it does make installing very easy.
Both vehicle-specific
Each custom wiring harness and connector is made for a specific make and model, featuring the necessary components to provide a standard trailer wiring output.

I've always went with Curt with all my towing needs - and once again, perfect fit on my 1997 Dakota. Plug n play really and was very easy to follow the instructions and have more then enough wire to safely route it to where I wanted it. Haven't had to actually use it, but I like having it ready for when I might need it. Love having the cover on it as well...helps protect the plug!!
