This is very useful. I have an 800 lb motorcycle and this will lift it. It is easy to operate as well.

I bought this to work with my Yamaha XT250 which does not have a center stand. I use it primarily for lubricating the chain, oil changes and any time I need the bike upright. The XT250 being essentially a dirt bike with lights, sits at a steep angle on its side stand making checking the oil level almost impossible. To use this lift, I put a 2x6 under the side stand to get it to stand up a bit more, and I use an impact driver with the supplied socket (nice touch!) to run the lift up to position on the bottom frame of the bike. As it lifts up, I just hold onto the seat or the handlebar as it's lifting up, and it's lifted, just like that!I see that they rate this lift at 1200 lbs, and it might actually do that, but I think it will lift just about any motorcycle on the market. It's fairly heavy and seems to be well made. My bike is light at just 290lbs, but this lift will do the job for just about any bike, at least in my view. I would buy it again!

I will add a caveat on the stability of this stand in that it quite stable and built well enough to handle bikes probably up to about 500 pounds. After that perhaps one of those heavy duty hydraulic models that you roll under the bike and has a big jack handle. Still, this stand is more than capable and sturdy enough to handle any dirt bike and many of the lighter adventure bikes. Either stand I mentioned requires a bike to have a fairly flat bottom. I use a battery operated drill with the provided socket to raise and lower the stand for a 350 pound-plus Honda XR650L rather than hand crank a ratchet wrench. Both will work, but the drill is obviously much faster. I recommend lubricating the worm gear with a light grease for ease of operation. I use this lift in the shop and took it with me on a 10 day off road trip where I haul the bike out west and don't have any electrical hookup...hence the battery operated drill. I'm thoroughly pleased with this stand.
