VERY NICE UNIT. Love the fact that the oil tank is completely removable for cleaning and changing the oil. Just the perfect size. Thanks Amazon.

I like this deep fryer! love the viewing window on the lid—it lets me keep an eye on everything without opening it and letting out the heat. The removable basket is too small though that’s my only problem so far.

I have a chef man 1.5 quart that I bought for my rv to simply make some fresh cut homefrys for breakfast on trips. Well that ended up being everyone’s favorite morning snack, so I started doing fresh cut French fries for dinner and now everyone wants more. So I bought a little bigger unit cause I just need a half serving to one serving more to have enough. I got this 2 quart one thinking ok great. That’s 25% more. Wrong. I took it on a trip for its first use and opened it the morning of thinking ok you hungry crew. You will have enough taters to go with the eggs and bacon, Nope. The basket holds less than the first one I bought. I couldn’t believe it. Yes. It holds more oil, but not more food which is what is important. It’s actually a bit less food than my 1.5 as what is a level basket in it is heaping on top of the 2 quart one. So if space is important as in an rv I can’t recommend because it’s significantly larger than the 1.5 but doesn’t cook as much food.

I previously had a small Cuisinart deep fryer, just over 1 litre capacity, and while it was still working fine, the non-stick interior had begun to flake off. As it was over three years old, I decided it was time to get a new one. But when I checked, the unit I paid under $50 for was now up to $79! As pleased as I had been with it, I was not going to pay that price for something with the limitations it had. The main problem, as with most small deep fryers, was the non-removable liner, which made it very difficult to clean. So off I went in search of a replacement, and then I came across this company, which had two different units, a smaller square model along with this slightly larger unit. Both with removable oil pots or liners, or whatever you want to call them. When comparing the two, this one stood out as it had a larger capacity along with a much more powerful heating unit, and I made the right choice. This fryer heats up very quickly and most important, it comes back to temperature VERY fast after dropping my basket of food into the hot oil. It easily holds enough food for two people, more depending on what you are making in some cases. Cleaning it is so easy, that filtering out the oil after every use is nowhere near the chore it was with my old fryer. The heating element comes right out and is easy to wipe down, I usually give it a spray of Dawn Powerwash and rinse it down with hot water first. The oil bin does not have a non-stick coating, so I will not have the problem of it aging and flaking off with time, and is very easy to wash out. If any residue is sticking, you can let it soak or put it in the dishwasher. The exterior of the unit is also easily cleaned as there are no electronic components, which allows it to be run through a dishwasher as well.It is a real bargain as far as deep fryers are concerned. I expect to get many years of service from it. In fact, I am so happy with it, as was a neighbour of mine, that I ordered one for them as well and they are also very pleased with it.
