Quality product from Japan. This fits to my finger perfectly and adjustable.I didn’t know that Olympus manufactures Sashiko products.

This is a nice thimble for Sashiko sewing. The elastic will have to be replaced at some point if used daily.

OJO, estos tienen un clavo y son súper fáciles de instalar solo con un martillo… , hay otros que tienen un tornillo y no son nada practicos de instalar, requieren taladro sino se raja la madera…Mil veces mejor este tipo que los que solo tienen adhesivo que se despegan y juntan mucha pelusa

I originally bought this for the intended purpose of trying some Sashiko needlework. Before I got to that, however I was doing an amigurumi crochet project using a small gauge yarn and steel crochet hook. I often have to be careful that the end of the steel hook doesn't give me a blister on the palm near the base of my pinky when doing this kind of thing. This time I remembered I had the leather thimble and wore it on my pinkie to protect that part of my palm where the end of the hook would rub. It worked wonderfully and I was able to crochet for hours without hurting my skin.I will say that the elastic may not be the right size for larger fingers. I would recommend having some beading elastic or even a broken rubber band on hand so that you can adjust the size of the opening for your finger. There are holes in the leather and the elastic it comes with is just threaded through and tied, so you can substitute whatever you want there easily.
