This is one of the easier tips to learn, I think. It makes drop flowers, which you can make as big and fancy as you like – just keep pressing until you get the look you want. I used it to edge the top of a cake as well. It works great for topping cupcakes too. You can either place the tip in the center of the top and just make one big poof, or you can begin on the outside edge and make continuously smaller circles. Experts can do much more with this tip, but it’s a good tip for beginners (like me) to use, to produce something that impresses! They’re stainless steel and clean up easily. I washed it by hand, and hot soapy water was all it needed to get back to new. I highly recommend this tip, especially to beginners who want something that they can use and enjoy right away.

The FANTEXY 3 Pieces Large 2D Piping Tips Set are an accurate decorating nozzle. It pipes the same design as my name brand tip. The metal is a lesser quality than name brand, but it doesn't make a difference when piping. They washed well in the top rack of the dishwasher and didn't rust. The price is great for this 2D tip!

I am a chef and baker and am always needing more star tips. This set of 3 2D star tips is high quality and thick. They are made of metal that won't bend, although you can open up the star a bit if you need to. They make a perfect star with sharp edges. I would purchase this brand again for sure for my decorating projects.

These star piping tips compare well to the name brand equivalent. They're nice and sturdy and came through the dishwasher with no issues. They're easy to install in a piping bag, and they create clear, crisp edges in icing. Having multiples in the same size and same brand makes it faster and easier to use multiple colors of icing with minimal changing of tips. Great value if you do a lot of decorating and don't want to change and clean tips often in the middle of a project. I would order again.
