There are many different things you can do to help the longevity and health of the engine. Making sure that the filter is changed frequently is quick, cheap and easy. This filter works. Fits well and seals properly on all sides and with the lid. The seal seems even better than OEM quality. And in terms of performance: The engine runs. Its not a race car. Unfortunately.

Fast delivery. Great quality product. I have bought Fram for 20+ yrs. Extremely difficult to install though in my 2010 Ford Fusion. Had to drive to mechanic to finish install as I could not clamp it back in place. Fit was perfect. Highly recommended.

The in-law's 2008 Ford Fusion. Has 42K miles on it, and probably the original Ford factory air filter, because the part number printed on it was 6E53-9601-EA, + "Made in Mexico" with a Ford oval Trademark. (Better than made in China? Maybe.)This filter was less expensive than buying one at my local Walmart store here in Eugene, OR., using Amazon Prime. I always try to use Fram filters simply because Consumer's Report has rated them as one of the most efficient on the market.I always read the 1 star product reviews first, and work upward. If there are a high percentage of negative reviews, I usually won't make the purchase. The 3 star reviews on this filter stated the foam on the seal was too thick, and they couldn't get the top reinstalled without trimming some of the foam away. I did not experience this at all. By calibrated eyeball, the foam on the old filter looked identical to the new filter. There are about 3 things that need to line up to get the top cover back on properly. If you're having trouble getting them into alignment, try loosening the hose clamp that attaches the cover to the air intake/mass airflow sensor tube, and that may make it easier.
