Purchased this to dry drill four holes for anchoring hand rail on stairway. Two holes were in a four inch slab and the other two were 10" deep, 2" of precast concrete and 8" of solid concrete. This little guy was able to get all four holes completed and still have a bit of life left in the bit. I only used the centering bit to get the larger holes started and then I removed it. I'm sure if I weren't drilling through "old" concrete with nasty hard aggregate it would last longer, but for this price, it served its purpose well. Because the bit only has about 2.5" to 3" of depth, it did require me to stop drilling, break loose the core (which usually was broken off already) and remove before continuing to drill. These holes were down into concrete, I had to stop frequently to remove dust/debris and let the bit (and hammer drill) cool down. My guess is this would be a real asset in drilling horizontal holes through brick and concrete block.

Took time but was able to drill through my 4" concrete floor as well as the stucco and header on the sill plate. I used a 6A hammer drill which was a bit on the small side but worked. You will Absolutely need a hammer drill. Don't even try it without.

The GUICGOC 160mm Concrete Hole Saw has been an excellent tool for my concrete drilling projects. The tungsten carbide teeth are incredibly tough and cut through concrete smoothly and efficiently. The SDS Plus shank makes connecting to my drill easy, and the 220mm length provides just the right reach for deeper holes. Despite its heavy-duty nature, it’s surprisingly easy to handle and doesn’t create too much vibration. It’s well-built and performs exactly as expected, making it a great choice for anyone needing a solid concrete hole saw for tough jobs.

Used this bit to core a hole for my Radon system. This size was absolutely perfect for 4" pipe, just make sure you have a strong enough drill. I found that drilling a few smaller holes around the perimeter helped the bit chew though easier. Overall for the cost of this bit I cant complain at all, it did the job and it was cheaper than renting one. That is a win in my books.
