Well, pretty good. Only criticism is that if you take it off and empty or mostly empty it before it turns off, it can get stuck on, overheating and turning off (but not flipping the switch), then turning on and overheating again.

Bought for my daughter because she Braid hair, and was so much easier to dip the hair.

My stove runs on propane, so I picked up this kettle (the Hamilton Beach 41038) to make tea without using a ton of propane, and it definitely does the job in that regard. With only enough water in for one cup, it boils before the water in my teapot in the stove has even reached lukewarm. And the auto-shutoff and boil-dry protection features give me peace of mind, knowing that the kettle won't overheat or damage if it's left on by mistake—something my teenage son does with the stovetop kettle at least once a week. One of the best things about this kettle is its size. It's perfect for small apartments or dorm rooms, and the cordless design makes it easy to move around. This is great because the aforementioned son will be taking it off to college with him in September, and his dorm space is limited, The water level indicator is clear and easy to read, and the lid opens wide for easy filling. While there are many positives to this kettle, there are a few negatives to consider. The kettle is not insulated, so the outside gets hot to the touch. Also, it feels a bit flimsy. But the oddest thing about it is that it’s wobbly in the base. As others have mentioned, it doesn’t click on to the base, but even worse is that mine doesn’t quite sit firmly in the base, so it teeters.Still, I’m glad I got it and feel it’s safe enough to be packed up for college. It’s affordable, compact, and has useful safety features that make it a great value.
