Great ambient light giving a wonderful shade - The texture shadows are playful and artistic. Some people criticize its brightness as too weak - folks: this lantern is meant to be an ambient light, it's not meant as a reading lamp or to light a procedure table in a hospital. It's just to enjoy your eyes in the dark garden when you enjoy a sip of wine in your rocking chair or sit and soak in your tub. It's bright enough to brighten your walk way and to find your towel when you leave the pool at night but that's about it. Mine worked for about 5 months and stopped over night. The easiest thing: take a screw driver and open the solar module, put a new rechargable AA battery in it and it is good again. At this price you cannot expect it would come with a high quality battery, the one in my lantern was just leaking and didn't even have a brand name on it. The lantern is a a great product with an impressive effect for a small price. Happpppy.

I was happy to get an entire season from this product. I kept it on my outdoor dining table because it cast such a beautiful light pattern! Unfortunately it did not work towards the end of the season, and no matter what I did to get it going it just would not. Worth it if you were looking for something temporary

I really like this lantern. Its smaller than I thought it would be but its still fine for what I needed it for.The light is not bright but it has a nice ambience. Im really happy with it!

I wanted some lighting on our balcony to provide a little warmth without overbearing lighting. We have string lights over our balcony already, but sometimes I just want to relax and not have to feel like I have stage lights overhead. These lanterns are absolutely perfect. I bought one and loved it so much I ended up getting another one for my other side table. I keep them on the table all the time and they charge perfectly all day and turn on in the evenings. I've been watching the sun set over the summer, and they turn on right at the tail end of sunset, right on cue.The color is a very vibrant and festive blue, just like in the photo. The inside is yellow, which gives the whole lamp such a beautiful and warm glow when it is on. The shadows it casts are so beautiful.As far as set up is concerned, it's very easy. It comes with batteries already installed, and all you have to do is switch it to the on position. I've had them out all summer and batteries are still working fine. They have gotten knocked off my side tables during stronger storms this summer and they still work and no damage to the exterior.I was also worried that they might rust in the rain, but they show no signs of rusting or wear even after being exposed to the elements this summer.I'm completely in love with these lanterns and could not recommend them enough!
