The remote function works well. What is baffling is that it still requires two AAA batteries despite being connected to AC mains. It is also very hard to locate the correct button in the dark because they are all flat. Being said, pairing was very easy and works moderately well.I stuck a bumpon to the light on button so I could feel the right button for the dark room.

I needed a remote for the top of the steps, and put the remote that came with the fan at the bottom of the steps. No problem using two remotes. . This exceeded my expectations and I prefer it to the remote that came with the fan.Taking two screws out and pulling out the switch to replace the battery is no problem because the wires attached to the remote are very flexible and it puts no strain on the other wires in the box.

Bought a hunter fan with a separate light and fan wire switch. Once the new fan was wired the unit had to be powered on (fan) for the light to work (terrible design)Wired this up and it works great to give independent control of the light and fan (this unit has 2 black wires one for the hot, the other wire I connected both my fan and light wire to)

We bought a wall mount control because the other true remotes kept walking away from the kids rooms. This is basically a remote control just mounted to the wall. It is a bit tricky to operate- important to read the instructions because it’s not as intuitive as most remotes. We bought three fans with this style remote and the two where they’re in direct line of sight to the fan are great. The third is not and definitely doesn’t work as smoothly however we are happy with them.
