I made the mistake of buying a cheaper fan first. The light wasn’t bright and the fan didn’t move much air. Got two of these Hunter fans and I’m very happy. Should have gone with the brand name in the first place! They look great and perform better as far as air speed.

Nice fan. We like the modern look without being industrial. The instructions could be better. Build the motor module on the floor with the snap ring in the right place. Install the bracket on the ceiling. Then hang the motor on the bracket swing hooks. Then do the wiring. Then swing the motor into final position. And only then should you install the fan blades!! No need to hold the motor while wiring. No dodging the fan blades while putting the motor into final position. Easier than most installations if you get the sequence right. Avoid doing it twice. This fan has amazing output. I placed it in a 10x10' room. On high speed papers fly all over my room if I don't put something on top of them. It could easily work for a 12x12' room, too. I like the clean white look and that you can buy replacement bulbs from the hardware store. The bulb included were not as bright as I wanted so I got brighter bulbs. Even with the brighter bulbs it is good for general light but still not extremely bright- could not do long term paperwork with only the light fan on.I had the electrician install it. This was a new installation with a new junction box which was then hardwired to a dual wall switch. One switch allows me to dim the lighting and the other to change the speed of the fan which was great. It took him 3 hours and did not seem really easy as he seemed frustrated putting it together at certain points. But I love this fan and wish I had purchased it sooner.This is a powerful fan and makes a huge difference in a hot, stuffy room.
