easy to installI wanna start by saying that my cup was idling at 60-70 degrees and spiking to 90 unload even higher 90s.I bought the contact plate to help reduce the temp spikes.part of my issue is that in the past I used too little thermal paste and it over time this lead to increase temps. While I used a f-ton of thermal paste this time around with my nzxt kraken 360 elite this has also helped reduce temps dramatically. my cpu under the highest of loads spikes to 72 now. I tried to run 6 different games at once to overload the cpu and even a bench mark. my cpu is undervolted.I haven’t seen it gone above 72 and part of that is due to this contact frame 10/10 recommend.

At this point, the use of contact frames is a well known mod that a lot of people are doing. Even the most recent AMD platform has frames available for sale. I have used a few different contact frames, including some from Jeyi and Thermalright. This frame will work with 14th, 13th and 12th generation Intel CPUs using LGA 1700 sockets. This frame replaces the ILM so you can get better contact across your CPU for stability and improved cooling. It is solid metal with some pads on the bottom to protect the surface of your motherboard. However, the pads on this frame seem a lot harder than those on most of the others I have used. Other than that it is almost identical to the frames made by Jeyi and Thermalright. The same screws that hold the ILM in place can be repurposed for the corners of this frame, as no additional screws were provided. The frame from Thermal Grizzly and Derbauer was the 1st and most quality tests show that frame to be better in terms of tolerances and uniformity. But it's also extremely expensive. This frame is not only a fraction of the cost. This is comparable to the Thermalright frame but even a little bit better value than that one.INSTALLATIONAfter you remove the stock ILM, you then just install this over your CPU. The backplate for the 1700 socket is a little different as the shape and size of the socket is a little bigger and more rectangular. But once it's in, you don't have to worry about your CPU bending quite as much.Included in the package was the frame and a Hex Allen Wrench to tighten the screws. Contrast that against the Jeyi frames that include many extras such as thermal paste.Tests show you can expect a difference ranging from 7 to 20 degrees C in your cooling. 13 degrees may be about the norm. I have been using contact frames by default. I am not using the stock ILM on any of the builds I have put together recently.CONCLUSIONThis is an improvement over the stock ILM and it's definitely a good value compared to the premium brands. It does not include all of the extras that come with the Jeyi frames, but it's still a great value if you want to keep things no frills and you have everything else you need.

If you have Intel's 12th, 13th or 14th generation CPUs paired with any of the compatible motherboards, you probably already know that replacing the stock retention bracket is a must if you want to have lower temperatures and avoid damaging your expensive CPU. The stock one unfortunately is not providing equal pressure around the IHS, causing the CPU to bend and not make a complete contact with the cooler, resulting in much higher temperatures. So to avoid these issues, aftermarket retention plates like this one are necessary, personally I have tested several different ones from other brands, some of which are much more expensive from well known brands, and to be honest this Averzella one is just as good as those that cost twice or more. There are a lot of positives to be discussed about this model and a few minor negatives as well, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation. The bracket comes in a very good retail package, well protective and compact, inside the package there is the retention brackets and L shaped tool to help you with the removal of the original and installation of the new one.Positives:- Solid and correct build - The cut of the bracket is correct, it is made out of CNC aluminum, it fits perfectly over the motherboard holes and over the CPU applying equal amount of pressure, distributed evenly.- Inexpensive compared to the competitors - Averzella are pricing this one under $10 and this price is justified and reasonable, some well known competitors are charging twice for the same exact materials and execution, so do yourself a favor and don't spend more than this $10 amount.- Easy and quick installation - It takes no more than a few minutes to remove the stock and install the new one over the LGA 1700 slot, the provided tool is solid and convenient to work with.- Isolation pads on the bottom side of the plate - Those are necessary to prevent any possible damage to the motherboard from the metal contacting directly with it, with the isolation pads the motherboard is well protected.Negatives:- Not really a negative, but more of a wishful thinking, it would have been nice to have more different color options, but that is not that important, you won't see much of it once you install the plate.- Could be cheaper - Basically it is a small piece of aluminum, they are producing thousands of them, and I think a few bucks is the correct price and not anything close or over $10.Overall, a great LGA 1700 correction plate, it works as expected and just like any other expensive plate, this one is one of the most budget friendly ones too.

Well, it fixed the Intel LGA1700 heat problem. The difference is amazing. Just a couple things, be careful taking off the old hold down bracket. I scratched a couple pins, but got Blessed, everything was fine and benchmarked it, no issues. Another, be careful torquing the screws down. The torque specs are very low, but also, significant tight. If not tighten down, it will not work or you will miss some memory channels. But, this is just as good as the Grizzly one from Baur.

On average I was Idling around 42C to 48C, for doing nothing that was alarming to me, and after a bunch of virus checks I determined that it must be some hardware error issue. And after doing some research I found that it may be the CPU mounting issue with the bracket, so I ordered the bracket corrector. My CPU performance wasn't horrible before this, but my thermals were getting kind of out of my comfort level, and now that it is installed on my PC, I am pleasantly surprised with the results. So now, not only are my idling thermals 10 - 15C cooler, even underload it doesn't get anywhere near close to as hot as it was, my CPU would sometimes get as high as 72C while gaming and stay there, (way too hot for my water cooled rig) now it doesn't get passed 61, and when it does its only there briefly before going back to the mid to higher 50's.Another plus is that I can over clock my ram a little faster now as well, My RAM is rated to go 6400Mhz, but previously I could only get it to 6000Mhz and remain stable. Now I am cool as cool as a cucumber and stable at 6200Mhz. I think the CPU getting a better mounting system and the even cooler displacement across the CPU's IHS has allowed me to do this with my ram.I made the mistake of not getting a picture of my thermals and benchmarks before the install, but i managed to find my Borderlands 3 Benchmark from when I first installed my RTX 4080 a few months ago, so I completed a new benchmark to show the difference. Everything is the same on the PC except for the CPU Bending Bracket. All in all, this is an amazing product that can really aid your PC into running the way it is supposed to. It is absolutely worth your time and effort. Even if your an advanced PC builder it is worth checking a few tutorials before doing the install, as you must NOT overtighten NOR under tighten the bracket, and lock it down evenly. It is not a difficult install, it just requires your truest attention.
