This is a very heavy, very solid shift knob. Although I bought it for looks only as my Tundra has 4WD turned on by a button on the dash this knob reminded me of older vehicles. I've driven long enough to know what gear I'm in as I coupled this knob with a leather boot. I love the look of the two together. One tip is when I first screwed it all the way down the lettering was not lined up properly. My solution was to use 2 of the gasket washers I keep on hand for my oil pan drain. They're pretty solid but are made from a fibrous material that allows them to compress. With the two washers I was able to screw the knob down very tight and lined up correctly. Now it won't be cocked or loosen itself if I had it lined up without the washers. So far zero fading or wear in the numbering.

After tightening, it wasn't straight, nearly 90 degrees off. Garbage

I like the weight of the knob. Feels good in the hand, its the perfect size.I installed it on my Hi-Low gear box on my Model A and get lots of looks asking if I have 4x4. LOL I also have the matching 3 speed knob on the shifter. I would buy more if I need more

I'm giving my YJ a makeover, as you can say, and this is the perfect piece to add to the Jeep. I literally got it 5 minutes ago and I opened it up and butterflies fluttered my soul until I turned it and saw the gash. It's not that large and probably can't be seen the way its going to sit on the stick BUT when you pay for something new that's usually how you would like to receive it. I'm sure not everyone's is going to be like this but all is well. Still happy and excited to add it to the Jeep.
