I tightened the cap too tight on my original unit, thus cracking it. I found an original replacement cap, but it was twice the cost of this unit. I bought this was and was pleasantly surprised to see the build quality. It's heavier duty than the original and thus less likely to break if you accidentally tighten it woo much.

So, the first one they sent, I inadvertently threw in the garbage so had to order another one. Outside of that stupidity, it is an excellent replacement for the original part.

Received in perfect condition , I did not use it yet but if it fits ,,,,,,,perfect. Looks good. If it does not fit I will give an update ,but I can’t see why it won’t fit.

Our original Bissell tank cap split open after years of use and needed replacement. Looked at Bissell and theirs cost nearly double and they charged shipping. I searched around Amazon for the same part number, and this item came up cheapest. I bought it, though I thought it might be a "you get what you pay for" situation but I was very pleasantly surprised.Compared to the original, it is an exact fit and appears to be the same quality. Works perfectly, and I saved a ton over Bissell and a few bucks over other sellers here. Highly recommended!
