A ton of kids at our taekwondo school have this helmet and love it. It just didn't fit my kid well. It comes kind of squished in from shipping and was pinching the sides of her head. Most of the kids that are wearing these have a gap between the top of their head and the top of the helmet. That being said, it doesn't matter at all if there is a gap and if you looked carefully at the helmets they were wearing in the Olympics, they all had a space above their heads as well. It seems to just be a new helmet thing. Eventually the material relaxes and the gap goes away. We ended up going with the Century brand bought directly from our school but this one is very similar. It wasn't any cheaper though so get whatever fits your kid well and feels comfortable.

Really wanted this for the kids, but the head area is too tall, looks odd and it didn’t fit right on the kids.

We use this for my oldest who has special needs and he self-injures. This helps protect his ears and face with the face guards. It’s a good quality and I like how easy it is to clean. Our son is a teenage so I can’t just normal wear and tear but they hold up well imp. Very happy that these keep him and us safe.

I bought two and they both work fine. They're durable and fit as expected. They did have a slight smell at first but nothing too off-putting. Aired out quickly and hasn't been a problem. Very good value for the price.

This helmet is great it's a little big for kids, mine is 9 and it fit a bit loose on the hard plastic cover. Overall is a great helmet and addition for those who seek to protect not only the head but the face too!
