The connector too the soda stream always leaks, so you need to manually turn off the valve each time and lose the CO2 in the hose. This is a big waste, and unnecessary extra hassle. I'll be searching for a higher quality version of that part.

I bought this for a Drinkmate. It is far and away the most premium of all the soda adapters you will find.It was easy to connect, just screw it in on both ends, use a wrench on the tank side to make sure it's secure. The gauge is a nice feature, and it lets you bleed the line before disconnecting the hose.By the way, there are a lot of so-called experts saying you also need a regulator. You do not, it is safe and that wouldn't make sense. The Drinkmate and Sodastream regulate the co2 mechanically by themselves, internally. You need full presssure for it to work right. It's stainless steel so you don't have to worry about it giving a funny taste like a rubber hose might. You don't have to disconnect it between uses, just leave it until you run out of gas. Just out of precaution, close the ball valve when you're not carbonating something. That means you don't have to screw and unscrew the tank itself.

Seems like a quality build and works well for my setup.

About a year in, its still good. Make sure to fully tighten it. The unit has survived a few catastrophic failures of soda machines, but it, remains strong.
