Good fit, seals snugly without the need for extra tape or weatherstripping. I added addtl weatherstripping regardless due to paranoia.Using this as part of a 3d printer exhaust system; very happy with the performance of this kit. This was a far better solution than my previous jury-rigged exhaust port, made from foam board and butyl tape.Very easy to install; seems pretty solid. All in all, good deal and looks to be well-made.Time will tell if the sun cooks this thing in my west-facing window.

Made it work for me. I have an unusually small window that leads out and the set brought adjustable pieces but they ate too big to completely fit that space. I only used the base piece and I covered the remaining piece with cardboard. I still find it worth it because it saves me time from having to open and close my window when I only had the vent sticking out. I've noticed the room also doesn't overheat anymore when I turn the dryer on.

This kit includes everything necessary for a simple ventilation installation. Even the worm-drive clamps are adjustable without a drill or screwdriver as they have wide thumbscrews.The materials are durable and fit together securely, and adjustments for width are easily handled via sliding center track and bolts.5 stars overall for value and functionality, would order again.

Pretty typical window venting solution, like those that come with portable ACs. This will do fine for dryer installations near a window in an apartment setting. However, I would have liked the exterior vent cover came with something like a louver or a sprung flap to seal the vent from insects and backdraft when air is not flowing. As an exterior exhaust opening, if you have any negative pressure inside your house (such as another exhaust fan) or natural wind current (and you have windows open), air will be pulled in through this opening, and along with it, any insects (especially stink bugs, flies, and bees). The built-in grate will only keep large debris and critters like mice and rats out. The vent cover install is optional, but please don't place this window vent behind your window bug screen (like you might with a portable AC), if you're using it to vent a dryer or a kitchen. Your screen will capture lint (or aerosolized oils, if venting kitchens) and will create a mess.

Everything about this kit is well done. I think the window piece is clean-looking (and they did a nice job of protecting the pieces). The hose clamps are nice quality and easy to use. And the kit in general is well thought-out and adjustable. I'm using it for a slightly different purpose (venting soldering fumes), but the principle is the same. A very nice kit for a reasonable price, I would recommend!
