I have a multi function tailgate, it got damaged and they replaced it with an out of market one that didn’t go down like it used to had to go to dealership to find out why. They told me about the assist so I put it on now it works great.

Assist arm is very easy to install (less than 5 mins) and works fantastic. (The only thing I saw, is that the instructions are for a different type of cylinder...but, then again, what man reads instructions...LOL!!

Easy to install, no cutting or difficult to find tools required(think there were 2 metric- 4mm & 5mm hex wrenches required). Slow smooth open, great upgrade. Only 2 weeks old but looks to be good quality.

I bought this for my 2018 Chev silverado. It was very easy to install after I googled the instructions and it works awesome.

Fits great on my 2008 Chevrolet silverado 1500. Install was easy. One is enough for easing the tailgate down. I purchased two so may gift one to a friend. Although it works well it is pretty simple materials and light duty so for what it is I feel that it is overpriced.
