A real interesting instrument integrating numerous digital effects on a small guitar. Don't expect too much from the acoustic quality of the guitar without turning it on. The fun is after turning it on and plug it into the amp. It's fun, but still a musical toy in a sense.

This was a gift for my grandson who is learning to play the guitar. He took to it immediately and finds so much joy and relaxation making music. I worried this would be another item he would quickly become bored with, but he has shown so much interest in it. His friends come by to play and make music with him as well. I’m grabbing another for my granddaughter for a Christmas! This is such a great guitar and not only for beginners. My son loves it and he’s a great guitarist. Worth every cent!

Very Unique GuitarSounds amazing on its own.But once you start up the app it transforms your music to the next level , Haven,t Put it Down Since .Learning new features on it .It's not as Loud , as a guitar ampBut more at a personal level. To be Honest , it looks like a Toy at 1stBut a few who have Tried it , were Amazed , its a Great Travel Parlour Guitar .The only 2 things I would Change on it, is the Head stock. It s Ugly. Plan and Simple. The Sound Hole is located perfectly as it allows the sound to come thru like a Top Edge Sound Port. And the Menu could be Better ,A Home Return Home Icon Displayed At all times at the top or bottom Corner of the Screen. There been a few times, Where I had to restart it just to get back to THE MAIN MENU from Recording screen or the Effects Selection..And The Feed Back from the Bridge pickup or the internal Mic some time will occur 😞 . Depending on Effect Selection.Hopefully There will updates this in the near Future. To Correct these Issues .This is a Very well Constructed and Solid Guitar.Highly Recommended.Battery life is Very Good ,Recharging only once or twice a month. The only other Acoustic GuitarsI would Consider over Lava Play ModelsIs The Yamaha FG-TA Transacoustic andThe Martin SC-10E .Which are Double and Tripled the price, than the Lava me play. But each are very Unique. All 3 Brands and Models mention Above Have Amazing Sound and Playability ,Were One could just Play for Hours .

I bought the Lava Me Play on 10/3 and it arrived 10/9 in perfect condition. It's a small guitar for sure, somewhere between a parlor and OO size. The HPL body makes for a super light, slightly neck-heavy guitar. There's a usb-c charging port on the bottom of the body (I immediately put a magnetic charging adapter on it to minimize strain on the usb port until I pick up the wireless charging stand). It came with about 58% charge and after roughly 4 hours of playing with all the bells and whistles it was down to 51%, so it seems like it will last quite a while on a full charge. The big selling point of this guitar is obviously all the smart features. If you, like me, watched videos on YouTube of the Lava Me 3 and thought it looked cool, but too pricey for what may turn out to be a gimmick, this guitar has all the Lava Me 3's features with a faster processor and more memory for a smoother interface. For $400, it does a LOT of cool stuff. The built in tuner, drum tracks, looper, and lessons are all top notch. The effects are numerous and range from great to totally gimmicky, but the simple reverb, flange, and phase settings are pretty great. I need to spend more time playing around with settings (I boosted the effects volume in advanced settings by about 25% - any more than that and the feedback the app warns you about starts to become an issue), but I'm confident in saying that the value for money for the Lava Me Play is pretty incredible. Yeah, the HPL feels and sounds cheap when played without effects, but those effects overcome the shortcomings and then some. It's a little bit like saying a strat sounds crappy unplugged - that ain't the way it's meant to be played.All-in-all, I'm super impressed with this fun, kinda weird looking tech demo of a guitar. I've played for over 25 years, have played many different kinds of guitars and can't think of one that's more fun to play than this. If you're a beginner, grab one - it will make learning easier and way more fun (and the super low action makes for happy fingers). If you're a guitar vet and want to play with something fun and different, you can't go wrong with the Lava Me Play.(Also, it connected to my WiFi no problem, not sure what could cause the other reviewer here's WiFi issue, but my guitar thankfully didn't share that problem.)
