What a sweet surprise this light has been. I love the purple glow which lights up the room and I love how long the batteries last with the extra feature of use USB if you run out of batteries. I’m a butterfly freak who loves anything with butterflies so this beautiful lamp is a great addition to my collection.

This butterfly lamp is super cute! It's a lot more sturdy than I imagined. The base of the lamp is heavy enough to prevent it from falling over. The light itself is a beautiful neon purple. The lamp is small enough to fit on an office desk or a dresser. I love butterflies so this is going to be a great addition to maximalist decor!

I just got these and they look pretty nice.What I don't like is the base is too light and it's easy to knock over, you can't put it on a narrow shelf/ledge/window sill, nor can you hang it on a wall.I wish the base was narrower from front to back and wider from side to side, heavier to make it more sturdy, or the base could be removed so you can hang it on a wall.Maybe if the power cord plugged into the butterfly light directly or the battery compartment was built into the back of the butterfly.

This cool accent lamp has the look of neon but uses LED technology to achieve it. Assembly is simple, just snap the tube assembly into the base and connect the cord. Like so many plug-in items these days, this lamp runs off a USB outlet. The problem with that, in my opinion, is that after a certain point you've used up all your available chargers and open ports. In fact I literally have another accent lamp connected to a power bank because I have nothing left I can use it with. Fortunately this one does accept AA batteries in addition to the power cable, so that's an option. It will also allow this butterfly lamp to be used in an emergency, providing a touch of comforting kitsch and a satisfying purple glow. This would be a welcome relief during a power outage.Once assembled, I think it's meant to stay assembled forever. You can't simply pull the lamp out of the base. This is good since it's probably going in a child's room, but may lead to storage difficulty down the line. Oh well, cart before the horse at this point The on/off rocker switch feels solid and works well. Seems like a low bar, but sometimes it's overlooked by QC. Here, everything is tight and polished. Lamp is first rate and will surely please the young recipient.This is the perfect companion to a framed canvas art piece featuring purple butterflies which I found on Amazon around this same time, and which arrived on the porch the same day as this lamp. It's a cool and exciting 1-2 punch that will beautify my little one's space for years to come.
