Of the 4 different design cat houses I have assembled in the past, this is the one I would be least likely to buy again. Not that it’s all bad because it isn’t. I’ve broken this review down into things I like & things I don’t like:I like:Cats like visibility. The clear plastic on the openings allows this while attempting to block out some inclement weather.Insulation helps regulate temperature all year long.Zippered floor mat allows easy and efficient cleaning.4 tie-down points for anchoring to the ground.I don’t like:The mounting of clear plastic for entryways: the plastic buckles and stays that way after cat enters. It no longer lays flat. This could be fixed by changing how/where the plastic mounts. The insulation is thin aluminum-sheathed-foam mounted with supplied double stick tape applied to the foam side. Once stuck in place, it cannot be removed or re-positioned without tearing up the foam. Cat claws will easily shred the aluminum and foam necessitating replacement.Assembly instructions are attached to the carton instead of printed on separate sheet that can be stored with cat house when not in use. Instructions need improvement. For example: is there enough tape supplied to tape all around the edges of the insulation? Are only the outer edges, shown in the instructions to be taped, or also the edges of the insulation to the 2 door openings all the way around them? This is not a terrible cat house, but there are better options in this price range.

Insulated panels needed more anchor points. I had to put in some holes and use zip ties

I got this for a stray cat that has been coming to my porch. My camera doesn't see it though so I honestly don't know if it's being used. I wanted the cat to have a safe, warm place out the elements while it was super cold here. I did end up putting a blanket over it to help it stay warmer. The house only took a few minutes to put together, though I really don't like the tape that came with it. For whatever reason, it only held up one side of the plastic doors, the other one fell and I never put it back up. I understand the reason for two entry/exit ways but I feel like having two doesn't keep it very warm (which is why I covered it with a blanket). I think it's spacious. I believe it serves it's function though for what it was intended to do.

This little cat house has been fantastic for the strays that wander my area, though a bit small, it's good enough for at least 1 cat, perhaps 2 if they cooperate. Assembly was a breeze, though there is a bit more flip and some flop of the clear plastic door flaps, but expected. Having the doors on both ends is fantastic and a must, giving our feline friends the sense of security knowing they aren't trapped in a one way box.Likes/Pros• Product Durability: Durable enough to withstand minor winds.• Product Appearance: Good appearance.• Cat Approval: Cats seem to appreciate it.Dislikes/Cons• Suggestion: Use frame tubes to enhance wind resistance.

Received this unheated cat shelter as part of the vine program. As an indoor place for my geriatric cats to rest and decompress, this is great. As an outdoor shelter, you'll need to place it in an area like a covered patio and get it up off the ground as cold cement pulls heat out of the pet. Sunbeam has a heating pad here on Amazon that works fantastic in a cat shelter.Like: Works great as an indoor rest area for gericats.Dislike: No heating pad or elevation off the ground for using as an outdoor shelter.Would I buy? For an indoor senior cat needing a place to sleep in a busy house, sure. For outdoor ferals or community cats? There are better options.
