I needed a larger electric kettle (1.7 l) and after reading many reviews, I got the Americana red one. It’s gorgeous, it heats the full pot of water in about 5 min, it’s quiet and it auto shuts off when it’s done. I like the thermometer b/c I don’t always need the water to be fully boiled, and I can see what temp it is before I manually shut down the pot. The inside is 100% steel, no plastic components whatsoever. The spout is fine, it doesn’t drip. I’ve only had it for a week, so I can’t speak to the longevity of this kettle, but so far, it’s been perfect.

Todo me gusto, ya tengo dos años con ella y sigue igualita a cuando la compre, y a tenido un uso exhaustivo, espero haya en existencia compraría otra igual, algo importante para mi, si uno no la desconecta, mantiene el agua tibia, cosa que a mi me agrada.

Overall an excellent product, except fae the styrene plastic switch actuator. I believe this is the first thing that wi break. I believe they couldae made it outae a better material.

Have been using this kettle for a few weeks. Works really well. All metal so there is no plastic smell like some other brands. Water boils to the proper temperature. Other kettles that I used only lasted one or two years, hope this one last much longer. It is well built.

We've had this groovy hot water pot for about a week. After using it a couple times daily, I report everything is awesome. Except one thing, if you need a quiet kitchen, just know that the top snaps down with a pop. It doesn't hurt too much if your finger is in the way. I can totally live with that. It heats fast, shows temp clearly, is all stainless steel, holds a lot of water, and looks cheerful on the counter.Update, September 2023: my original review is still here as if I hadn't submitted it. I love this kettle.Now I'm just sad that after 3 years of daily, careful use it no longer works. Shouldn't it have lasted at least a couple more years?

Of course I bought this because of how cute it is - how could anyone look away from this blue beauty?? But, the most pleasing feature is, of course, that it works!! The hinged lid flips all the way up to ensure easy fill, and easy clean! It is marked clearly inside for knowing the minimum and maximum fill amounts. The water heats up incredibly quickly, and the auto-shutoff feature gives me peace of mind. There is an adorable temperature gauge, which I didn't think I would use but now can't live without. I don't like my water as hot as it goes, so I use the gauge to know when to turn it off myself. There are drips when pouring, and I often leave the lid open after use to allow it to air dry. I have yet to have any rust or degrading (had it about 3 months). The water does not come into contact with any plastic, and there are no awkward filters to deal with. Simply fill, heat, and pour!
