The Makita batteries DO NOT fit in this adapter.

Seems to be quite sturdily built, but its fit is so snug it's actually a problem. I initially thought it was the wrong adapter, until reading some of the other reviews here - yes, you really do have to pretend you're trying to shove the battery *through* it. Time will tell if it'll "relax" once it's been employed doing its job for a while. But it does definitely work, runs my Ryobi stuff just fine, and isn't actually *that* much bigger than the genuine article battery.

Just received this adapter for Makita battery to Ryobi one. Looked great but when I tried to join the adapter to the Makita battery it appeared to be the wrong size. Thanks to a prior review, the reviewer mentioned that it is a tight fit and one needs to give a firm push to nest the two together. When I did that it nested together well. I’m a happy camper. Better tight than loose. Put it on my Ryobi saw and it worked as expected. I appreciate tight tolerances and that is what I got. Would not hesitate to recommend this item to others. Just know that it is a tight fit (that’s a good thing).
