Works great for an after market product. Original actuator was no longer functioning and had to be manually locked and unlocked. Had do disassemble the interior door panel to replace the part. Once installed, it has worked reliably (only installed for 2 months so far).

I read the reviews. They seem to be all over the place. I've installed the latch, and everything is working fine. It's only been a couple weeks. See how it holds up over time.

First of all, it would seem that Ford has had issues with their door lock actuators for this time period. It really is a poor design. There are a lot of videos on how to take out and replace the door actuator. I am not a trained car mechanic, but I was able to follow the videos and replace this pretty easily. The original actuator was tested and dead. I was still able to use the handles on the inside and outside to open the door. I bought this item so that I could lock and unlock the door as usual. Once I replaced the original actuator with the new one (the one in this review), everything appeared to work as normal. About a week after install the whole thing went dead. I couldn't even manually open the door with the handles. I finally got around to removing the door panel again. It is much more difficult to remove when you can't open the door. I have pulled hard on the latch wire, nothing happened. I have also tried pushing on the external handle lever, nothing again. Basically, the door will not open. I am going to need to bust this new actuator to hopefully open the door. I'm pretty disappointed that this just made my situation worse. I would assume that there is something internal to the actuator that has broken. I would not recommend buying this part. Maybe I just received the lemon.

This worked perfect on my 2012 Ford F-150 Raptor. Used it on the back door. Install was a little tricky, but do-able. Solid part.
