The only down side is the hinge. All plastic butterfly hinges eventually break over time. Nothing a piece of packing or duct tape can't fix though. Worth the $22 I spent (sale). I also like that they interlock when stacked. The 4 drive 2.5" insert is great. I'm buying another 5 pack while it's still on sale.If you don't have to keep your drives separate from each other, I saw a 10 drive aluminum and foam case for just over $40 that was a good option.

I finally got these Protective Box's for my old hard drives. Instead of just stacking the drives on top of each other on a shelf use these instead. I have a bunch of old drives that still work but they where used for seven years in a server. The boxes have a insert for ssd drives as well. Not too expensive and they help keep my old drives safe and organized.

I purchased the 5 color set because I wanted to use the color to easily identify specific drives. I also purchased the version of the cases which included the 2-1/2" drop in bracket. I have a few of those sitting around.Previously, I've kept my drives in anti static bags and often inside the old boxes that come from WD and Seagate. That's fine but it looks mess.1. I like these new cases for the way they stack and solidly connect to each other.2. The cases come with soft rubber cushions already stuck inside to help hold the drives too. Simple but nice addition.3. The cases all snap solidly shut. another nice feature.4. The labels on the ends are on BOTH ends so doesn't matter which way around the case is (simple feature but again, nicely thought out)I can see one potential long term issue. The hinge is the folded plastic. I've had issues with this type of "hinge" in the past with other cases but I also should note, that normally happens after lots and lots of usage and after a handful or more years. If I could have ask for one improvement I'd like to see a pinned hinge instead but if these currently hold up then is it that big a deal? Time will tell.Overall though, impressed with fitting, stacking, solid closure mechanism etc and would definitely recommend. Oh and the 2-1/2" removable bracket I see that as a great option moving forward for all my current and future SSD drives.

Great cases. stacks nice and secure. my only complaint.. if it could be called a complaint. is that i now have a bunch of plastic 2.5" drive holders laying around. the hoarder in me wont let me throw them out

Simple, very well designed. Highly recommended for anybody with the librarian's tendencies!There is only minimal amortization due to the hard plastic material and the amortization effect is virtually non existent. The principle is the same as in the construction of the bicycle helmets: first your head hits the hard plastic foam inside and a split second later, the helmet's hard shell hits the concrete. What's the purpose then? That however, means that the hard drive plastic case is very well designed: if it's good for your head it must be good for your hard drive, right?Just remember that it takes also 2.5" drives but not the ones which have their own housings!!! Even so, I tried and two of mine such drives fit well inside of the reviewed product.Shipping was fast, delivery was excellent. Thank you!!!

Antes de encontrar estos tenia mis discos duros en una bolsa anti estaticaPero se me hace mas practicos estos contenedores, los discos duros entran exactos ya sean de 2.5 o de 3.5 quedan excelentes, le brindan una gran proteccion y los discos no andan por todos lados acumulando polvoUna gran accesorio

Son perfectos para hdd de 2.5" o para laptop, el cierre es muy básico, pero funciona bien, aunque esperaba que fuera más seguro.
